Island Secures $250 Million in Series E Funding, Elevating Valuation to $4.8 Billion

Island, a Dallas-based enterprise browser startup, has successfully raised $250 million in a Series E funding round, bringing its valuation to $4.85 billion. This latest investment was led by Coatue Management, with participation from Insight Partners, Sequoia Capital, and Canapi Ventures, among others. The funding elevates Island’s total capital raised to $730 million.

Founded nearly five years ago, Island specializes in developing secure browsers tailored for enterprise use. These browsers offer enhanced security features compared to traditional commercial browsers and include functionalities such as universal application access control, device visibility and management, and application automation. The company’s innovative approach has attracted a diverse clientele, including Mattress Firm, Swiss Life, and Fiverr, contributing to a customer base of 450 organizations.

This recent funding round marks a significant milestone for Island, occurring less than a year after its previous Series D round in April 2024, where the company raised $175 million at a $2.9 billion valuation. The rapid increase in valuation underscores the growing demand for secure enterprise browsing solutions in the cybersecurity landscape.
