Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Unveiled: Privacy Display and Design Upgrades Highlighted

Early Hands-On with Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Reveals ‘Privacy Display’ and Design Enhancements

As the official launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series approaches, a tech enthusiast has managed to acquire the Galaxy S26 Ultra ahead of schedule, providing an in-depth look at its design and innovative features.

Tech YouTuber Sahil Karoul recently shared his early acquisition of the Galaxy S26 Ultra from Dubai through his social media channels. He showcased the device in various hands-on images, both individually and alongside other flagship smartphones like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and a damaged Galaxy S25 Ultra. The white variant of the Galaxy S26 Ultra stands out with its refined design. Notably, Karoul demonstrated that inserting the S Pen backward causes it to protrude awkwardly. It’s confirmed that the S Pen lacks Bluetooth functionality, a feature that was removed in the previous iteration.

A standout feature of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the ‘Privacy Display.’ This technology functions similarly to existing privacy screen protectors by rendering the display black when viewed from off-angles, ensuring on-screen content remains visible only to the user. While earlier teasers suggested the possibility of applying this effect to specific screen areas, current demonstrations indicate it can be activated for the entire display. The real-world effectiveness of this feature, especially compared to camera captures, remains to be fully assessed.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra, along with the rest of the Galaxy S26 series, is scheduled for an official launch on February 25. This early hands-on experience offers a promising glimpse into the device’s design and innovative features, setting high expectations for Samsung’s upcoming flagship release.
