Oura Introduces Vibrant Ceramic Editions of Ring 4

Oura has expanded its Ring 4 lineup by introducing a new series crafted from ceramic, offering users a blend of aesthetic appeal and advanced health monitoring. These ceramic versions are available in four distinct colors: Midnight, Petal, Tide, and Cloud, each priced at $499.

The transition to ceramic brings several advantages. Unlike titanium, which requires treatment to achieve desired hues, ceramic naturally exhibits rich colors that resist fading over time. Additionally, ceramic’s inherent scratch resistance ensures durability, maintaining the ring’s pristine appearance. To enhance comfort and performance, the inner portion of the ring remains titanium.

Recognizing that ceramic can attract colors from softer materials, Oura includes a cleaning pad with each ring, facilitating easy maintenance. The new ceramic models maintain the same size options as their titanium counterparts but feature a slightly increased thickness of 3.5mm, an addition of 0.5mm.

A notable feature accompanying this release is the ability for users to pair multiple rings to a single account, catering to those who prefer different styles for various occasions.

The Ring 4 series, launched a year prior, introduced significant improvements in health tracking. It boasts a sensor array capable of monitoring 18 different signal pathways, optimizing data collection from the finger. This advancement resulted in a 30% enhancement in SpO2 accuracy and a 120% increase in signal quality compared to the Ring 3.

Complementing the new ceramic rings, Oura has unveiled a charging case priced at $99. This case houses an internal battery capable of charging the Ring 4 up to five times per charge, potentially providing over a month of usage. This accessory is particularly beneficial for travelers or those seeking to ensure their ring remains charged. Unlike some competitors, this charging case is sold separately and is not included with the standard Ring 4 packaging.

In response to user feedback, Oura has also introduced a ring recycling program. This initiative allows users to responsibly recycle their old rings, aligning with the company’s commitment to sustainability.
