At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, Lenovo introduced two innovative Android tablets: the ThinkTab X11 and the AI-focused Idea Tab Pro (Gen 2). These devices showcase Lenovo’s commitment to integrating advanced technology into user-friendly designs.
ThinkTab X11: Rugged Design Meets Business Functionality
The ThinkTab X11 is a 10.95-inch tablet engineered for durability and business applications. Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, it offers configurations with 8GB to 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB. The device boasts IP68 certification for dust and water resistance and meets MIL-STD-810H standards, ensuring resilience in various environments. Notably, the ThinkTab X11 features front-facing NFC for secure transactions and can operate without a battery when connected to a power source, enhancing its versatility in professional settings. Lenovo commits to providing two Android OS updates and four years of security patches for this model. Additionally, it supports stylus input, with an optional case designed to house the stylus securely. The ThinkTab X11 is set to launch in the second quarter of 2026, starting at $499.
Idea Tab Pro (Gen 2): AI Integration for Enhanced Productivity
Scheduled for release in July 2026, the Idea Tab Pro (Gen 2) is a 13-inch tablet that combines robust performance with AI-driven features. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, up to 12GB of RAM, and storage capacities up to 512GB. The display is available in both standard glass and a paper-like matte finish, catering to different user preferences. The tablet houses a 10,200 mAh battery and includes a microSD card slot for expandable storage. Running on Android 16, Lenovo promises updates through Android 18 and four years of security patches. The device’s slim profile measures just 6.2mm in thickness. Color options include two shades of grey and a vibrant Jelly Mint green. Accessories such as a keyboard and folio case are also available.
A standout feature of the Idea Tab Pro (Gen 2) is its integration with Lenovo’s Qira AI, marking the first tablet to incorporate this technology. The device offers Smarter Reader for efficient note-taking, AI transcription of recordings, and a Smart Key that activates Smart AI Input for text generation and translation. These features are designed to enhance productivity and user experience. The Idea Tab Pro (Gen 2) will be priced at $419 upon release.
