Keychron Unveils Enhanced Q and V Series Mechanical Keyboards at CES 2026

At CES 2026, Keychron introduced significant upgrades to its acclaimed Q and V series mechanical keyboards, catering to both enthusiasts and professionals seeking superior typing experiences.

Q Ultra Series:

The newly launched Q Ultra series comprises three models:

– Q6 Ultra: A full-sized 100% layout keyboard.

– Q3 Ultra: A Tenkeyless (TKL) layout keyboard.

– Q1 Ultra: A 75% layout keyboard.

These keyboards are the first mass-produced mechanical keyboards utilizing ZMK open-source firmware, enabling an impressive battery life of up to 660 hours at an 8K polling rate in 2.4GHz wireless mode. ZMK’s focus on wireless efficiency allows for prolonged usage without compromising performance.

A standout feature of the Q Ultra series is the introduction of Silk POM switches, designed to offer a smoother typing experience with a richer, modern sound profile favored by keyboard enthusiasts.

The Q Ultra series boasts a full aluminum build, a new decorative knob, and a redesigned bottom case accent. Each key is fully customizable, allowing users to tailor their keyboards to personal preferences.

V Ultra Series:

The V series has also received enhancements with the introduction of the V5 Ultra, V3 Ultra, and V1 Ultra models. These keyboards share the ZMK firmware, 660-hour battery life, 8K polling rate, and updated design elements found in the Q Ultra series.

While the Q series features an all-metal construction, the V series offers a more affordable alternative without compromising on performance. The V Ultra series includes Bluetooth connectivity alongside 2.4GHz and wired options, a new gasket mount structure, and acoustic foams to enhance the typing experience.

Availability and Pricing:

– Q Ultra Series: Available starting January 6 on the Keychron website, with prices beginning at $229.99.
