Jason Momoa to Star in New Apple TV+ Series ‘Nomad’
Apple TV+ is set to expand its collaboration with Jason Momoa by developing a new series titled Nomad. This project marks the third major partnership between the streaming service and the acclaimed actor, following the success of See and Chief of War.
Nomad is co-created by Kurt Sutter, renowned for his work on Sons of Anarchy, and Chris Collins, whose credits include John Wick: Chapter 3, Sons of Anarchy, The Man in the High Castle, and The Wire. The series delves into the violent underworld of New Zealand’s outlaw bikers, focusing on a warrior torn between two lives, two callings, and two families, who must decide which path defines his true destiny.
Sutter and Collins are writing the pilot episode, with Collins set to serve as the showrunner. Momoa and Brian Mendoza will executive produce through their On the Roam banner, while Sutter will produce via SutterInk and Collins through Generator Entertainment.
This announcement follows the conclusion of See, a post-apocalyptic sci-fi series that aired its third and final season in 2022, and Chief of War, a historical drama that premiered in August 2025. Chief of War received strong reception from critics and viewers alike, boasting a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and consistently ranking at the top of Apple TV+ charts.
While Nomad is still in the early stages of development, its strong creative team and Momoa’s involvement suggest it will be a significant addition to Apple TV+’s lineup. No official release date has been announced, but the series is expected to premiere in the coming years.
