Google Releases September 2025 Security Update for Pixel 10 Series

Google has initiated the rollout of the September 2025 security update for its recently launched Pixel 10 series, which includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL models. This update follows the devices’ initial release with Android 16 QPR1 and the August 5, 2025 security patch.

The new update, identified by build number BD3A.250721.001.B7, is approximately 70 MB in size and upgrades the security patch level to September 5, 2025. While the primary focus is on enhancing device security, users can also anticipate minor bug fixes and performance improvements.

As of now, the update is being distributed in phases, with some Pixel 10 series owners already receiving it. Users are encouraged to check their device settings for the update’s availability. It’s important to note that the Pixel 10 series is not currently part of the Android Beta Program, so this update is intended for all users.

The Pixel 10 series, codenamed frankel for Pixel 10, blazer for Pixel 10 Pro, and mustang for Pixel 10 Pro XL, continues to receive regular updates to ensure optimal performance and security.
