In a strategic move to bolster its presence in Cupertino, California, Apple Inc. has acquired the Tantau office complex for $160 million. This 220,700-square-foot facility, located at 10200 N Tantau Ave, is situated adjacent to Apple Park and the Apple Fitness Center. Prior to this purchase, Apple had been leasing the property, but the recent acquisition, filed with Santa Clara County on June 24, 2025, grants the tech giant full ownership.

Apple Park, inaugurated in 2017, is renowned for its distinctive 2.8-million-square-foot circular design, often referred to as The Ring. This architectural marvel accommodates approximately 12,000 employees. Despite its vast size, Apple’s continuous growth necessitates additional office spaces in the vicinity to support various operations, including meetings and research initiatives.

The Tantau office complex’s strategic location offers enhanced accessibility and parking facilities compared to the main Apple Park campus. This acquisition underscores Apple’s commitment to expanding its operational infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of its workforce and projects.

Historically, Apple has maintained a significant presence in Cupertino. Before the establishment of Apple Park, the company’s headquarters were located at the Infinite Loop campus.
