Apple has quietly restructured its services in over 100 countries by bundling Apple TV and Apple Arcade into its iCloud+ plans without additional cost. This move significantly enhances iCloud+ value in many developing and price-sensitive markets, while leaving established territories like the U.S. unchanged.
What’s Changing
In supported regions, anyone subscribed to the 50 GB iCloud+ tier—typically the lowest paid iCloud+ plan—will now receive access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade at no extra charge. Additionally, certain countries are seeing the introduction of an “Apple Music Select” tier, accessible through iCloud+, which offers a set of ad-free radio stations with an option to upgrade to full Apple Music at a reduced rate.
Where It’s Available
The expansion includes countries across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Caribbean, and Eastern Europe. A sample of the list includes India, Israel, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Kenya, UAE, Armenia, Singapore, among many others. Notably, the rollout does not include the United States.
Alongside bundling content access, the update also marks a geographic expansion for Apple TV. It’s now available in 59 additional countries it previously hadn’t officially supported, taking its total reach to 170 countries.
What It Means
This strategy suggests Apple might be scaling back its emphasis on Apple One bundles in regions where price sensitivity is high. The addition of TV and Arcade to iCloud+ without raising prices boosts perceived value, potentially appealing to customers who might otherwise skip out due to cost.
Also, Apple Music Select appears to be a new experiment in tier-based access, combining radio content with upsell paths to full streaming access—perhaps to compete in markets where users are accustomed to free or entry-level audio streaming options.
Bottom line: For many users outside the U.S., Apple’s move delivers more services for the same cost—enhancing the appeal of iCloud+ and likely drawing in subscribers who value bundled entertainment and gaming.
What’s next to watch : whether Apple will extend this bundle to its main markets, how it balances localization of content, and how competing streaming and gaming services respond to this boosted value offering.
