Data compromised includes names, home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses used for order placements. Notably, Dutch online retailer Bol has alerted its customers about potential data exposure due to the breach. Similarly, luxury retailer De Bijenkorf has confirmed order delays and data theft affecting its clientele. Other organizations, including football club Ajax, banking giant ING, and eyewear manufacturer Ace & Tate, have also reported that their customers’ shipping information was compromised.
The gaming industry has not been spared. Valve Corporation, the company behind the popular gaming platform Steam, informed customers on August 7 that personal information related to recent hardware purchases was accessed during the breach. Valve has since notified affected customers and is taking steps to address the situation.
In response to the cyberattack, CEVA Logistics has activated its cybersecurity protocols and launched a comprehensive investigation. The company has confirmed that the operational impact is confined to the eight affected warehouses, with all other global operations continuing without incident.
