Google has introduced a new migration feature in Android 17, streamlining the process for users transitioning from an iPhone to an Android device. This enhancement allows for the wireless transfer of a broader range of data types without the need for additional applications.
Previously, moving from iOS to Android required third-party apps and manual steps, often leading to incomplete data transfers. With this update, users can now seamlessly migrate photos, videos, contacts, messages, calendars, Google Account information, passwords, Wi-Fi credentials, and even eSIM profiles directly to their new Android devices.
The rollout of this feature has commenced with select Pixel devices and is also available on the newly unveiled Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 and Z Fold8 series. Google plans to extend this functionality to more Android devices in the near future.
