Strava Introduces Events Tab for Races and Group Activities

Strava has unveiled a new ‘Events’ sub-tab within its app’s ‘Groups’ section, designed to help users discover and participate in local races, group runs, and rides. This feature aims to enhance community engagement by providing a centralized platform for event discovery.

The ‘Events’ tab integrates with the Runna training app, offering a ‘Races’ hub that aligns users’ running goals, schedules, and preferences with upcoming races. Users can filter events based on distance, date, location, sport, elevation, and temperature, facilitating personalized event selection.

Additionally, Strava has updated its Club Organizer Hub, accessible at strava.com/club-organizers, with new resources to assist organizers in building and growing their clubs. This initiative responds to a significant increase in run club memberships, which grew by over 59% in 2025, contributing to Strava’s network of more than 1 million clubs.

By introducing the ‘Events’ tab, Strava continues to emphasize community-driven engagement, providing users with tools to connect and participate in local activities. This development reflects the platform’s commitment to fostering a vibrant and interactive fitness community.
