Google Sets August 12 Date for Pixel 11 and Pixel Watch 5 Unveiling

Google has officially scheduled its annual hardware event, Made by Google 2026, for Wednesday, August 12. This year’s event is set to take place in New York City, marking the second consecutive year the company has chosen this location. Notably, the keynote will commence at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET, a later start time compared to previous years.

The event is expected to showcase the latest additions to Google’s hardware lineup, including the Pixel 11 series and the Pixel Watch 5. The Pixel 11 lineup is anticipated to feature multiple models: the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. While the design of these devices is rumored to remain largely consistent with previous iterations, there is speculation about a new feature called “Pixel Glow.” Additionally, advancements in software and artificial intelligence are anticipated to be a focal point of the presentation.

On the wearable front, the Pixel Watch 5 is expected to be available in two sizes, continuing the trend from its predecessor. There is also anticipation for new Pixel Buds Pro, although specific details about these earbuds have yet to surface.

As the tech industry faces rising component costs, it will be interesting to see how Google balances hardware specifications with pricing strategies. The company’s approach to integrating AI features into its devices will also be a key area to watch, as it reflects broader trends in the industry.
