Apple TV+ has announced that its upcoming drama series, ‘Nocturne,’ will premiere on October 30. The series features Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, and Stephen Graham in leading roles.
Previously known as ‘Lazarus,’ ‘Nocturne’ is adapted from Lars Kepler’s novels ‘Lazarus’ and ‘The Sandman.’ The storyline centers on Jonah Lynn, portrayed by Schreiber, an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who relocates to a small town in Western Pennsylvania seeking a quieter life. However, his plans are disrupted when the town and his family become targets of the cunning serial killer Jurek Walter, played by Graham. In a desperate bid to rescue Jurek’s last known victim, Jonah enlists FBI Agent Saga Bauer, portrayed by Beetz, to go undercover and confront the killer directly.
Rowan Joffe serves as the creator and executive producer of the series, while John Hlavin takes on the roles of showrunner, writer, and executive producer for the 10-episode adaptation.
Apple TV+ continues to expand its portfolio of original content, and ‘Nocturne’ is poised to be a significant addition to its lineup. The series’ compelling narrative and strong cast are likely to attract viewers seeking intense, character-driven storytelling. As the premiere date approaches, it will be interesting to see how ‘Nocturne’ distinguishes itself within the crowded landscape of crime dramas.
