Apple has recently expanded its Certified Refurbished online store to include several 2026 products, offering customers the opportunity to purchase like-new devices at reduced prices. The latest additions encompass the MacBook Air with the M5 chip, MacBook Pro models equipped with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, and the second-generation Studio Display (2026). These products were initially released in March 2026.
Notably, the Studio Display (2026) listings on the refurbished store incorrectly state that the display features XDR technology, which is actually exclusive to the higher-end Studio Display XDR model.
It’s important to highlight that Apple recently implemented price increases across its product lineup, including all Mac models. As a result, the pricing for many of these refurbished models is now comparable to the previous prices of their brand-new counterparts. For instance, the MacBook Air with the M5 chip, which previously started at $1,099, now has a new starting price of $1,299. The refurbished version of this model is available starting at $1,099.
However, the Studio Display did not experience a price hike, presenting an opportunity for savings. In the United States, the second-generation Studio Display is priced at $1,599 when purchased new, whereas the refurbished equivalent starts at $1,229.
These refurbished products are also available in select European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and other regions.
Apple ensures that all refurbished products undergo comprehensive functionality testing, thorough cleaning, and inspection processes. These devices are covered by Apple’s one-year limited warranty and are eligible for extended AppleCare+ coverage. Customers can expect refurbished devices to be virtually indistinguishable from brand-new ones.
By expanding its refurbished offerings to include recent 2026 models, Apple provides consumers with more affordable options to access its latest technology. This move is particularly beneficial in light of the recent price increases, allowing budget-conscious customers to obtain high-quality Apple products at reduced prices.
