Signify has introduced two new additions to its Philips Hue Play series: the Play Table Lamp and the Play Floor Lamp Large. These new products aim to enhance home entertainment setups by offering dynamic, color-changing lighting that syncs with various media.
The Play Table Lamp stands at 23.6 inches, while the Play Floor Lamp Large reaches 53 inches. Both lamps feature a sleek, linear design intended to project light onto walls or surfaces behind them, creating immersive ambient lighting. When paired with the Hue Play HDMI Sync Box or the Hue Sync apps for TV and desktop, these lamps can synchronize their lighting effects with games, TV shows, movies, and music, enriching the overall viewing or gaming experience.
Designed for flexible placement, the lamps can be positioned next to a TV or in other strategic locations to maximize their effect. They support Chromasync technology, ensuring precise color matching with on-screen content. Notably, these new lamps are priced more affordably than previous gradient floor and table lamps, with the Play Table Lamp at $80 and the Play Floor Lamp Large at $150.
In addition to the lamps, Signify has unveiled new Hue Candle bulbs featuring Matter over Thread integration and full-spectrum daylight technology. These bulbs offer a temperature range up to 20,000K, allowing them to mimic natural daylight throughout the day. They also support millions of colors for customizable lighting scenes. The updated bulbs are 40% more energy-efficient than their predecessors and can dim to as low as 0.2%. A pack of two is priced at $110.
All these new products are currently available for purchase on the Philips Hue website.
With these additions, Philips Hue continues to expand its ecosystem, offering users more options to create personalized and immersive lighting environments. The integration of Matter over Thread in the new candle bulbs also highlights a commitment to adopting emerging smart home standards, ensuring broader compatibility and future-proofing for consumers.
