Google Slashes AI Plus Subscription to $4.99/Month, Doubles Storage to 400 GB

Google AI Plus Subscription Now $4.99/Month with 400 GB Storage

Google has announced a significant update to its AI Plus subscription service, reducing the monthly fee to $4.99 and doubling the included storage to 400 GB. This adjustment enhances the value proposition for users seeking advanced AI capabilities and expanded storage options.

Initially launched in the United States at $7.99 per month with 200 GB of storage, Google AI Plus has now been repriced to $4.99, offering double the storage capacity. This change reflects Google’s commitment to making its AI services more accessible and competitive in the market.

Subscribers to Google AI Plus benefit from twice the usage limits in the Gemini app compared to the free tier, featuring a 128,000 token context window. Additional features include the Daily Brief, Omni Flash video generation, scheduled actions, and more, enhancing the overall user experience.

The subscription also offers expanded limits in NotebookLM, Proofread, and AI Inbox in Gmail, along with increased access in Google Flow, AI Studio, and Antigravity. These enhancements provide users with a comprehensive suite of tools to boost productivity and creativity.

In a related update, the $9.99 per month 2 TB storage tier has been officially rebranded as Google AI Plus, aligning with the new naming conventions and service offerings.

The increased storage is being rolled out over the next few days, while the reduced pricing will take effect with users’ next plan renewal. This move follows Google’s April upgrade of the AI Pro subscription, which increased storage to 5 TB without a price hike. Additionally, during the I/O 2026 event, the AI Ultra subscription introduced a $100 tier, with the highest option’s price decreasing from $250 to $200.

These strategic adjustments demonstrate Google’s dedication to providing cost-effective and feature-rich AI services to its users.
