Apple Launches First European Developer Center in Berlin to Boost Innovation and Collaboration

Apple Unveils First European Developer Center in Berlin

Apple has announced the opening of its inaugural Developer Center in Europe, set to launch in Berlin’s Mitte district later this year. This new facility aims to provide European developers with comprehensive support through in-person sessions, workshops, and personalized consultations in multiple languages. Staffed by Apple experts, the center will feature dedicated labs and consultation areas designed to foster innovation and collaboration.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations, emphasized the significance of this initiative:

> Europe is home to an extraordinary community of developers who are building apps that create connections, encourage creativity, and drive innovation. We have always believed that when developers have the right tools and resources to do their best work, incredible things follow. That belief is what this center is built on, and we look forward to seeing what the community continues to build.

The Berlin Developer Center will host a variety of events covering development across Apple’s platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. These programs are tailored for development teams of all sizes and at various stages, aiming to enhance app design, quality, and performance.

In 2025, Apple’s European storefronts attracted over 150 million average weekly users. To support this growing developer community, Apple offers the App Store Small Business Program, providing a reduced 15% commission rate for eligible small and individual developers.

This announcement builds upon Apple’s ongoing investments in European developer initiatives, such as the Swift Student Challenge, 19 Apple Developer Academies worldwide, and Apple Foundation Programs in Italy and France. Developers also have access to over 250,000 APIs across frameworks like HealthKit, Metal, Core ML, MapKit, and SwiftUI.

The establishment of the Berlin Developer Center underscores Apple’s commitment to nurturing the European developer ecosystem, providing essential resources and support to drive innovation and creativity across the continent.
