In anticipation of the stable release of Android 17, Google has rolled out the final Beta 4.1 update for Pixel devices. This minor update, identified by build number CP21.260330.011, incorporates the May 2026 security patch and addresses several critical issues to enhance user experience.
Key Fixes in Android 17 Beta 4.1:
– Signal Bar Display Issue: Resolved an issue where the status bar incorrectly showed zero signal bars despite active connectivity.
– Quick Settings Synchronization: Fixed a UI synchronization problem where the mobile data Quick Settings icon remained active during Airplane mode.
– External Display Functionality: Addressed an issue causing external displays to go black when selecting high resolutions.
– Bluetooth Audio Routing: Corrected a Bluetooth audio routing issue that resulted in playback silence after system interruptions like timers.
– Hearing Aid Connectivity: Fixed an issue where hearing aids were automatically forgotten from paired devices after periods of inactivity or charging.
This update is available for Pixel devices that have not yet updated to Android 17 QPR1. Factory and OTA images are now accessible, allowing existing Beta 4 users to sideload the update. Devices enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program will receive an over-the-air (OTA) update to Beta 4.1.
This release marks the final scheduled beta update before the stable launch of Android 17, underscoring Google’s commitment to refining the operating system for optimal performance and user satisfaction.
