Rhea Seehorn Joins Apple Original Film ‘Running’ as Production Gains Momentum

Apple Original Films has announced that Rhea Seehorn, acclaimed for her role as Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul, will join the cast of the upcoming feature film Running. This marks Seehorn’s second collaboration with Apple, following her lead role in the series Pluribus.

Running is directed by Gavin O’Connor, known for his work on The Accountant and Warrior. The film also features Spike Fearn, recognized for his performances in Alien: Romulus and Back to Black, and Brian Tyree Henry, whose previous collaborations with Apple include Causeway and Dope Thief. Henry’s role in Causeway earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, while Dope Thief garnered him an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.

The narrative of Running centers on a homeless high school running prodigy, portrayed by Spike Fearn. The character embarks on a journey to achieve greatness, utilizing his athletic talents to escape his troubled past and discover a sense of belonging. The screenplay is penned by Bill Dubuque, who previously collaborated with O’Connor on The Accountant 2, a film that became Amazon MGM Studios’ second most-watched streaming title.
