Apple Unveils Vibrant Pride Wallpapers in iOS 26.5 Update
Apple’s forthcoming iOS 26.5 update introduces a captivating array of Pride-themed wallpapers, offering users enhanced customization options for their iPhone backgrounds.
In a recent announcement, Apple revealed that iOS 26.5 will feature 11 distinct Pride wallpapers, each showcasing a unique blend of colors that harmonize with the company’s Liquid Glass design. This collection aims to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community.
Beyond the pre-designed options, iOS 26.5 introduces a custom builder tool, empowering users to craft personalized wallpapers. This feature allows the selection of up to 12 colors, enabling the creation of a bespoke background that reflects individual preferences.
The wallpapers are designed to adapt seamlessly to the iPhone’s Always-On display mode, offering a subtle, dimmed version that transitions to full color upon activation. This dynamic effect enhances the visual appeal of the device while maintaining battery efficiency.
The introduction of these wallpapers aligns with Apple’s annual tradition of supporting Pride Month through thematic designs and accessories. In addition to the iPhone wallpapers, the company has unveiled a new Pride Luminance watch face for the Apple Watch, featuring colors that refract dynamically to celebrate the spirit and individuality of the LGBTQ+ community.
iOS 26.5 is currently in the release candidate phase, with a public launch anticipated in mid-May. Users can access the new Pride wallpapers and other features by updating their devices once the update becomes available.
