This problem, identified as WI1273488, emerged around April 6, 2026, following a Bing update intended to enhance search performance. Instead, the update caused search panels to display blank results or become entirely unresponsive when users attempted to search via the Start Menu.
The glitch primarily affected a subset of Windows 11 23H2 systems. Users reported varying degrees of disruption: some encountered completely blank search results devoid of applications, files, or web suggestions, while others found that their search queries failed to initiate altogether.
