Apple Maps Unveils Immersive F1 Circuit Experiences Ahead of 2026 Season
As the 2026 Formula 1 season approaches, Apple has introduced an enhanced Apple Maps experience tailored for F1 enthusiasts, starting with the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix 2026. This initiative coincides with Apple’s inaugural year of exclusive streaming rights for F1 races in the United States via Apple TV.
Enhanced Circuit Details
Apple Maps now offers comprehensive circuit maps, featuring:
– Grand Prix Elements: Realistic representations of kerbs, labeled 3D grandstands, footbridges, and all 14 turns of the circuit.
– Pop-Up Locations: Information on race entrance gates, amenities such as restrooms, water stations, first aid stations, merchandise stands, and walking directions to specific grandstands.
– 3D Grand Prix Circuit Landmarks: Detailed depictions of key structures around Albert Park, including the Pit Building, grandstands, Lakeside Stadium, the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre, and the Finish Line.
– 3D Melbourne Landmarks: Renderings of city landmarks like AAMI Park, Eureka Tower, Luna Park, Marvel Stadium, Rod Laver Arena, the Royal Exhibition Building, the Shrine of Remembrance, and St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Global Expansion Plans
Apple plans to extend these detailed experiences to additional Grand Prix circuits worldwide throughout the year. A new 2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World Guide is available within Apple Maps, providing information on all twenty-four Grand Prix circuits.

Starting this year, Apple TV subscribers can stream all F1 races at no extra charge, enhancing the viewing experience for fans.
