Strava Expands Activity Tracking with Five New Sports, Including Dance
Strava, the renowned activity-tracking platform, has recently broadened its repertoire by introducing five new activity categories: basketball, cricket, dance, padel, and volleyball. Historically, enthusiasts of these sports had to log their sessions under a generic Workout category. With this update, users can now record their performances with greater specificity, aligning with the platform’s existing support for more than 50 sport types.
The inclusion of padel is particularly noteworthy. This racquet sport has witnessed a meteoric rise in popularity, boasting an estimated 30 million amateur players globally. By integrating padel into its tracking system, Strava acknowledges and caters to this burgeoning community.
