Apple Fitness+ Debuts in Japan with Exclusive Free Trial and Digital Dubbing Features

Apple Fitness+ Launches in Japan with Exclusive One-Month Free Trial

Apple has officially introduced its acclaimed fitness and wellness service, Apple Fitness+, to the Japanese market. As of today, users in Japan can access a comprehensive suite of guided workouts and meditations directly through the Fitness app on their iPhones. This expansion aligns with Apple’s previous announcement to extend the service to Japan in early 2026, following its recent rollout in 28 additional regions, including India, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Netherlands, and Taiwan.

Subscription Details and Pricing

To welcome new users, Apple is offering a one-month free trial of Fitness+ in Japan. Post-trial, the subscription is priced at 980 yen per month or 7,800 yen annually. Subscribers can share the service with up to five family members via Family Sharing. Notably, Japan does not have access to the Apple One Premier plan, which bundles Fitness+ with other Apple services, as this option is unavailable in the country.

Diverse Workout Options and Device Compatibility

Apple Fitness+ provides a diverse array of 12 workout types, catering to various fitness preferences. These include:

– Strength Training
– Yoga
– High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)
– Pilates
– Dance
– Cycling
– Kickboxing
– Meditation

Users can engage in these workouts using their iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV. When paired with an Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3, the service offers real-time metrics displayed on the screen, such as heart rate, calories burned, and activity progress, enhancing the interactive experience.

Language Support and Digital Dubbing

To accommodate Japanese users, Apple has implemented digitally dubbed workouts and meditations using generated voices modeled after the original Fitness+ trainers. This feature ensures that content is accessible in Japanese, with new dubbed sessions added weekly. Users also have the option to access workouts in English, Spanish, or German. To utilize the digital dubbing feature, devices must be updated to iOS 26.1, iPadOS 26.1, or tvOS 26.1.

Global Availability

With the inclusion of Japan, Apple Fitness+ is now accessible in 49 countries and regions worldwide. This expansion reflects Apple’s commitment to promoting health and wellness on a global scale, offering users a personalized and engaging fitness experience.
