Apple TV+ Announces New Thriller Series Starring Dakota Fanning
Apple TV+ has unveiled plans for an upcoming thriller series featuring Dakota Fanning in the lead role. Fanning will portray an undercover Treasury agent infiltrating a vast international conglomerate entangled in political and criminal activities. As she delves deeper, she grapples with her mission and her growing belief that the heir to the corrupt empire may possess redeeming qualities, challenging her professional and personal boundaries.
In addition to her starring role, Fanning will serve as an executive producer alongside her sister, Elle Fanning. The series is the brainchild of Emmy Award-winning creator Alex Cary, known for his work on Homeland and A Spy Among Friends. Cary will also act as showrunner under his overall deal with Sony Pictures Television and his FLW Productions banner.
The production boasts a team of seasoned professionals. Julie Gardner, recognized for Lady in the Lake, will executive produce for Bad Wolf America. Brittany Kahan Ward of Lewellen Pictures, known for Margo’s Got Money Troubles and The Great, joins the executive production team. Kari Skogland, acclaimed for directing episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale, will direct and serve as an executive producer.
