Uare.ai Rebrands, Raises $10.3M to Advance Personal AI Replicas for Individuals

Eternos Transforms into Uare.ai, Secures $10.3M to Develop Personal AI Replicas

In 2023, after nearly three decades at the helm of LivePerson—a company renowned for pioneering web chat in 1997—Robert LoCascio stepped down as CEO. Inspired by advancements in generative AI, he embarked on a new venture aimed at replicating human beings by capturing their life stories and personalities. In 2024, LoCascio founded and self-funded Eternos, a legacy service designed to preserve individuals’ voices and narratives for their loved ones posthumously. Recently, the company has rebranded as Uare.ai and shifted its mission.

Eternos garnered significant media attention when its first client, terminally ill Michael Bommer, collaborated with the company to create a digital replica of himself. Bommer dedicated 25 hours to sharing his life experiences, interests, and worldview with Eternos, resulting in a digital twin that could interact with his family and friends after his passing.

Initially focused on legacy preservation, LoCascio observed that many individuals interested in Eternos’ services were not necessarily preparing for death. This insight led to the development of the Human Life Model (HLM), a framework that utilizes an individual’s unique data—excluding general large language model (LLM) data—to encapsulate their values, life story, and decision-making traits. Recognizing the potential of this technology, LoCascio saw an opportunity to assist individuals in creating personal AIs for both professional and personal applications.

On November 11, 2025, the company announced its rebranding to Uare.ai and the successful raising of $10.3 million in seed funding, led by Mayfield and Boldstart Ventures. LoCascio emphasized the importance of data ownership, stating, I started to realize that the big models, they’re taking our datasets, and they’re getting smarter because of us. We don’t have to take that path. You own the model, and you can share it and monetize it.

Uare.ai aims to serve as a scaling tool for creators and professionals. By leveraging personal AI models that embody an individual’s full expertise, these digital replicas can generate content, manage customer interactions, and execute projects on behalf of their human counterparts.

The platform is set to launch later this year, allowing users to begin training their HLMs by responding to Uare.ai’s prompts about their lives through text, voice, and video. LoCascio explained the process: The first part is getting a human life story. Where’d you come from? Tell me a story about your childhood. What’s a crossroad in your life when you were younger?

Unlike other chatbots that rely on general LLMs to fill in gaps, Uare.ai’s models will only utilize the data provided by the individual. If the AI cannot answer a question due to a lack of information, it will simply respond, I don’t know.

Uare.ai plans to generate revenue through subscription fees or by sharing in the income generated by customers who monetize their digital twins.

Another company in the personal AI space is Sequoia-backed Delphi, which has attracted high-profile individuals like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Delphi enables users to interact with replicated knowledge via voice or text, offering a similar yet distinct approach to personal AI development.
