Development of the H3 Chip
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is in the process of creating an H3 chip aimed at future AirPods models. While specific release dates remain undisclosed, the H3 chip is anticipated to offer reduced latency and improved audio quality. This development underscores Apple’s commitment to enhancing the performance and user experience of its wireless earbuds.
Speculation is also mounting about a forthcoming version of the AirPods Pro 3 equipped with infrared (IR) cameras, expected to debut next year. The integration of IR cameras could necessitate the additional processing capabilities of the H3 chip to support new features associated with this technology. However, it remains uncertain whether this updated model will incorporate the H3 chip or continue with the existing H2 chip.
